Companies that Suck and Why |

| I started this page after having a negative experience with these companies and thought others might want to know before spending their money. So if you are reading this page, you are forewarned. Before I add the company to this page, I attempt to get the problem taken care of, but some just don't care. So they will be listed here. | |
| HSBC Mastercard | Do not under any circumstances, open a Mastercard with this company. I legally changed my name in January, 2008. It is now May and they have changed my name 4 times - and every time they have gotten it wrong. This has resulted in my not being able to make payments online as their information does not match my bank account. And although they have promised repeatedly to get it fixed, it is still wrong. I am paying this account off and closing it as fast as I can. Also, their customer service (which is a total oxymoron in their case) is in India and no one speaks English. I originally had this account with Direct Merchants bank who were great to deal with, but they were taken over by these idiots. STAY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM THIS BANK!! |
| 123print.com | Ordered address labels. When they arrived the printing had cut off the top part of the image. I was told that this is the way that image prints, and they would do nothing to correct the problem. The address labels went in the garbage. |
| Delta Airlines | I booked flights from my home airport to NYC. Delta decided to stop servicing my home airport. Was I informed? No. They never called or emailed, although they had both contacts to get a hold of me. I only found out about this when I went online to check on my upcoming trip. I wonder when they planned on telling me??? When I got to the airport???? I had to quickly book with another airline or my trip would have been ruined. |

Before you book a room here, pitch a tent in a park somewhere. You will be a LOT more comfortable. I booked a single room, which was like a closet. Now I don't expect a mansion, but I'd like to be able to turn around without hitting a wall. The stairs up to my room were almost vertical and there was no one to assist with the luggage. The woman who checked me in told me that I should not have brought so much stuff! I was in the UK for over a month, did she think I could get away with less than one suitcase?? Breakfast was a disaster. You could not request to have your egg made the way you wanted, it was her way or no way. I only ate there two mornings, then gave up and went a couple of blocks up the road near Paddington Station where I found a nice restaurant. I also received a phone call while I was staying there from a friend that I was meeting up with and we needed to discuss travel arrangements. After 5 minutes, she knocked on my door and informed me that I had been on the phone too long!! They advertise that staying there is like staying at home...yea, if your home is a prison! Stay away from this place!! |
