This summer I was once again in England.   It is sad that there is still no official memorial to Diana, Princess of Wales.   There is a Princess Diana walk in one of the parks, and a playground that was dedicated to her, however it is not marked and unless you have someone show you where it is, you will never find it.

The only place to go and quietly remember her while in London is Harrod's.  Mr. Al Fayed has maintained the beautiful memorial to Diana and his son, Dodi, which he created shortly after their deaths.  Other than Althorp, it is the only place one can go.

I took these pictures of the updated memorial. It now houses the ring that Dodi had bought for Diana only a day before their deaths, along with the wine glass from their last dinner together. They are silent reminders of what Diana and Dodi shared.

The plaque reads: "These two items are among a handful of objects that illustrate how much Dodi and Diana were in love. The Wine Glass has been preserved in the exact condition it was left on the Couple's last evening together at the Imperial Suite at l'Hotel Ritz in Paris.  Dodi bought this Engagement Ring for Diana the day before the tragedy."
